Activities

Sunday is a day for walking, we cater for all abilities from 3 mile walks to much longer treks along some of the National Trails. We are currently walking the Solent Way . Before or after the walks we often have lunch in a local hostelery..

We have quiz nights go to dances and discos and for culture the opera and concerts together with evenings at the theatre.

We love to eat and there are always a number of meals during the month from the local takeaway to a Michelin starred restaurant.

We are planning a trip to CERN in Geneva during 2010 to hopefully to see the Large Hadron Collider. We have a regular monthly lunch club  on the fourth Friday of the month and a regular book club for the literary inclined. During 2010 the famous Loose Ends Art & Craft Show will take place. Two years ago we staged our own Loose Ends pantomime so we are open to ideas for this year.

We swim vistit the dry ski slope and the local climbing wall, not to mention ice skating. A group went gliding and another hardy group tried their hand at paint-balling.

We have a group who regularly go to the Science Cafe and the Marine talks   for fascinating and mind stretching lectures.

Every Monday and Friday during tern time a grouip go to the concerts at the Turner Sims Concert Hall on the Southampton campus.

We have weekends away, spend the odd evening at a jazz club and for country and western enthusiasts we go there too. All this and for the night owls the Southampton nightlife.
